The Bierothek® is growing and expanding its B2B sales to include the catering sector. Customers across Germany should be provided with high-margin beer specialties and the necessary specialist advice. The Bierothek®'s own brand portfolio also plays a prominent role in the catering range. Beer sommelier and scene expert Torsten Spörl will head the gastronomy department in the future.

The beer specialty retailer Bierothek®, headquartered in Bamberg, continues to focus on expansion and is expanding its wholesale sales to include the catering sector. The Bierothek® not only wants to offer restaurateurs a wide selection of handcrafted beers, but also creates added value through targeted support in the areas of calculation, tastings and menu accompaniment.

Precise calculation is a central aspect

A precise calculation is a central aspect, as the Bierothek® helps restaurateurs develop an optimal pricing strategy and at the same time achieve an attractive margin. With menu support from experienced beer sommeliers, restaurateurs have the opportunity to enrich their menus with exclusive beer recommendations and thereby create a unique culinary experience for their guests.

In addition to German and international craft beers as well as Franconian craft beers, the Bierothek®'s own brands also play a special role. In the own brand portfolio, the wheat beer brand Weisse Taube represents the “Traditional” category, the own brand St. ERHARD represents beers from the “Modern Bavarian” category and the Hanscraft brand represents the “Craft” category. The Hanscraft brand, which was already produced and sold as a licensed brand by Bierothek® in 2023, has now been fully integrated into Bierothek®'s own brand portfolio.

Torsten Spörl takes over catering sales

The newly created position of Sales Manager “Gastro Concepts” will be taken over by Torsten Spörl with immediate effect. Torsten Spörl has comprehensive Experience in the beverage industry and is also a beer sommelier himself. Torsten Spörl will therefore play a central role in building a strong connection between the Bierothek® brand and the catering industry.

The order set for catering concepts will grow to around 80 items in the next few weeks until mid-April. Franconian and Bavarian beers are now available to restaurateurs nationwide, with international specialties such as La Trappe, De Molen and Rodenbach following in the next few weeks. The Bierothek® is convinced that this expansion of the catering area will not only intensify the collaboration with restaurateurs, but will also help make beer specialties accessible to an even wider audience.
